All interventional pain procedures may be performed under local anesthesia. However, many patients elect to have a little bit of procedural sedation to relieve the anxiety and discomfort associated with these procedures.
You should take all of your medications as prescribed by all your doctors except for blood thinners, which you should confer with our office before starting or stopping them around your procedure.
Most patients may return to work on the day of the procedure or the day after depending on if they elect for sedation and the invasiveness of the procedure.
If you are having your procedure just with local anesthesia, there are no restrictions on eating or drinking before the procedure. If you elect to have a small amount of intravenous sedation, you must not eat or drink anything six
