After knee or hip replacement surgery, typically you will be in the hospital for two or three days. The important thing is to go home when you feel safe, and your pain is well controlled. We will do our best at the hospital to prepare you for home, and if that is not possible, a rehabilitation hospital may be necessary. Regardless you will be home when you are ready.
