A native of Southern California, Dr. Greenbaum’s arrival in Las Vegas is far from his first visit – but it’s the first time he’s decided to make Nevada his home. As a child, he came to the city often with family, then friends, then his wife, Lisa, of 30 years, and kids. It’s clear he’s already had a lifelong love affair with the area. Now, he’s looking forward to becoming deeply involved with the people, the community, sports teams, and all the outdoor recreation the region has to offer.

Dr. Greenbaum’s educational journey began with an undergraduate degree from UC Davis, followed by earning his Medical Degree at the University of Southern California. He then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Internship and Residency at LA County/USC, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach, CA – where he also served as one of the Team Physicians for Cal State Long Beach.

Building on the time and experience gained at these prestigious institutions, Dr. Greenbaum’s career has been dedicated not only to serving his patients, but also to working with an impressive roster of professional sports organizations as Team Physician. These include the USA National Waterski Team; the USA Springboard Diving Team; World Team Tennis with Billy Jean King; the first Professional Soccer Team in Orange County; and the OC Soccer Club. He’s also been on the floor helping at the USA World Gymnastics Championships, the USA Gymnastics Olympic Trials and the Maloof Money Cup Pro Skateboarding Competitions. Most recently, he’s had the privilege of caring for some of the top-ranked Supercross Riders in the country.

And as a major outdoor sports enthusiast, Dr. Greenbaum has also participated in many of these sports himself.

In fact, as both an ‘adrenaline junkie’ and a huge believer in creating memories rather than gathering ‘things,’ he’s taken his three children (Nicole, Julia, and Jake – all full-grown adrenaline junkies, too!) along for the ride in these sports adventures. From Ironman races and mountain biking, to surfing, water skiing, scuba diving, snow skiing, and much more – they’re always up for the challenge. And while he and his kids do virtually every sport imaginable, he jokes that “My wife mostly joins us to make sure everyone comes home alive and in one piece.”

It’s easy to see how someone who enjoys life so fully would also be the kind of doctor devoted to his patients. Overwhelmingly positive reviews for the past 25 years describe Dr. Greenbaum as a caring and considerate orthopaedic physician who takes the time to ensure his patients understand their injury or condition, and what they will do together – whether surgical or non-surgical – to achieve recovery.

He’s excited to bring his professional services and extensive knowledge to serve his new patients at Crovetti Orthopaedics. Dr. Michael Crovetti, recognizing Dr. Greenbaum’s training, experience, and dedication is elated to have him on the Crovetti Ortho team.

But perhaps Dr. Greenbaum says it best himself: “It gives me no greater joy than to help individuals and athletes who are down with the help they need to get back into action. Whether it’s a professional athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone working to regain mobility, I’m honored to be part of their recovery journey.”

Did You Know?

Dr. Greenbaum’s passion for orthopaedic medicine started early, fueled by his love of sports and the inspiration of a well-respected pediatric physician. But before becoming a doctor, he had a completely different career path: from ages 6 to 13, he was a professional actor known as Bradley Greene. He appeared in more than 40 commercials, guest spots on numerous TV series, and even held a principal role for three years on the soap opera General Hospital.

This is where life imitated art in a surprising way.

The exterior setting used for General Hospital (LA County/USC) later became the very place where Dr. Greenbaum completed his Orthopaedic Internship and Residency. Had it not been for the Writers’ Strike in the early 1980s, which ended the development of his character, he might have pursued acting further. Instead, he used the money he earned as an actor to put himself and his two brothers through medical school. Clearly, helping others has always come naturally to Dr. Greenbaum.
